ENVIROMENTAL SERVICES - COMPREHENSIVE CONSULTING & PLANNING
We provide comprehensive Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) services to help our clients develop projects that are both environmentally sustainable and economically viable. Our goal is to balance environmental protection with our clients' budget requirements to ensure successful project outcomes.
Our team consists of highly reputable scientific specialists who are involved as needed during the EIA process to ensure thorough and accurate assessments.
Our Services Include:
- Due Diligence
We conduct desktop assessments that provide baseline information to identify any potential fatal flaws. This service is recommended when there is uncertainty about the feasibility of a development site, land use, or the required level of assessment. The outcome offers recommendations on the way forward, including developable areas and the appropriate environmental application process (Basic Assessment or full Environmental Impact Assessment).
- Basic Assessment (BA)
This condensed process evaluates both biophysical and social impacts associated with proposed activities. We determine mitigation measures to limit and prevent detrimental impacts. A Basic Assessment Report is compiled in a standard format provided by the deciding authority, and a public participation process is conducted.
- Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA)
Scoping is the first stage of a full EIA and identifies the key issues for investigation. This includes refining the project scope, identifying feasible alternatives, conducting public participation, and performing preliminary site investigations. The scoping report forms the basis of the terms of reference for the EIA stage.
During the EIA stage, we assess the identified activities associated with the proposed development in depth to determine the significance and extent of impacts on various environmental components. Both adverse and beneficial impacts are evaluated.
We compile an Environmental Impact Statement that concludes whether the activities can proceed and under what specific conditions. The Environmental Management Programme (EMPr) is developed to ensure that adverse impacts are minimized and beneficial impacts are maximized.
The EMPr is a tool to ensure that mitigation actions and monitoring requirements are systematically implemented throughout the construction, operational, and decommissioning phases of a development.
- Environmental Monitoring and Compliance
During the construction phase of an approved development, authorities require environmental audits to verify whether the measures provided in the approved EMPr are being implemented. Auditing is conducted by an Environmental Control Officer (ECO) and involves monitoring construction activities and ensuring provisions for closure as required in the EA and EMPr.
At HORTCOUTURE, we are committed to delivering high-quality environmental consulting services that support the successful and sustainable development of your projects.
